Interns, Volunteers and Team Members for 2018!

MB Stage Productions is looking to fill spots in our production team for 2018.

  • Producers Assistant (intern.)
    Assist the Producers with filing, database management, scheduling and communication. This will be a hands on position that works closely with the Producing Team required attendance at production meetings, performances and some rehearsals. Will also work remotely and will need a laptop (preferably) to manage tasks.

    The ideal candidate will be a recent college graduate, currently enrolled in a college or university or an eager individual who wants to learn. The position can be taken for credit (if applicable) or to build a resume. An interest in live theatre production is a requirement. No other prior experience necessary but a familiarity with theatre is preferable. Ideally the candidate will have experience with Google Apps, Slack, Photoshop and iMovie.

    Other responsibilities will include: Press release distribution, drafting, photo selection, contract management and assisting in casting. Eventually this position will train to produce a live show either at MB Stage or beyond.

  • Social Media, The Video Games (intern.)
    Assist our Social Media Manager with media campaigns. This position will be 50% remote and 50% in person. Primary focus will be day of show promotions for our long running show, “The Video Games” in coordination with plans set by the Producers and Social Media Manager.

    The ideal candidate will be a recent college graduate, currently enrolled in a college or university or an eager individual who wants to learn. The position can be taken for credit (if applicable) or to build a resume. An interest in live theatre production is a requirement. Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat are a must. In addition the candidate will have experience with Google Apps, Slack, Photoshop, iMovie and content creation.

    Other responsibilities will include: Responding to direct messages on Instagram and Twitter during shows. Taking video/photos for Instagram/Snapchat stories  and creating engagement campaigns for performances to expand our following. There is potential grown for this position.

  • Front of house operations (volunteer or intern)
    We are finally able to expand our front of house show day operations. This position will become our House Manager, Concessions/Merchandise or Box Office Manager position. We want a motivated person to take on one of the three roles listed above. Working directly with the Company Manager and Producers to create a friendly and fun lobby experience for our guests. This position will be in charge of coordinating day of lobby, ticket and house staff. They will also be in-charge of pre-show immersive elements as they apply to their position, including: decorations, themed concessions, merchandise and actors.

    The ideal candidate will be a recent college graduate, currently enrolled in a college or university or an eager individual who wants to learn. The position can be taken for credit (if applicable) or to build a resume. An interest in live theatre production is a requirement. Furthermore, experience with cash handling, live event set up/tear down and customer service is preferred.

    Depending on experience and availability other duties maybe assigned. No pay at this time but, potential for growth and further opportunities may become available.

  • Stage Managers / Prop or Costume Crew for THE VIDEO GAMES
    Perform the duties of a stage manager or other funcion for our award winning show, THE VIDEO GAMES. Currently performing in Los Angeles, CA at The Complex in The Flight Theatre. You will work directly with our current Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager to learn the role. Attendance at rehearsals, performances and auditions is required.

    The ideal candidate will be a recent college graduate, currently enrolled in a college or university or an eager individual who wants to learn. The position can be taken for credit (if applicable) or to build a resume. A knowledge of QLab, sound, lighting and google apps is preferable. Additional experience in costuming, quick changes and interactive theatre a plus.

    Responsibilities may include: Performance reports, costume and prop maintenance, Rehearsal reports, attendance/roll call and actor scheduling.
